Marine Return Policy |
Return Guidelines:
Please contact a Rex Marine representative to have a return goods authorization number issued. Any returned boxes without a return authorization number will not be treated with priority and will be handled when all other authorized boxes are finished. All parts must be returned in the original packaging and in the same condition they were sold. Dirty or damaged parts may not be accepted.
Parts Returned for Refund:
Any part that is returned to Rex Marine because of non usage, order mistake, or change of mind may be subject to a $5.00 or 20% restocking fee (whichever is greater). If Rex Marine is responsible for the return or error or if the part is defective, this restocking fee will be waived.
Parts Returned for Credit:
Some parts may be eligible for full credit. To avoid a restocking fee the parts can be exchanged for other parts or a credit can be left on the account to be used at a future date. This method only waives restocking fees. Applying credit to your account or exchanging the parts will not waive any reconditioning fees if parts are damaged or dirty.
Damaged/Dirty Parts and Packaging:
Any parts returned damaged or dirty will be subject to a reconditioning fee at the discretion of Rex Marine. Reconditioning fees will be based on the cost to repair or replace the part and will be kept to the minimum amount possible. Reconditioning fees will not be waived for damaged or dirty parts even if Rex Marine is at fault for the order error. Parts must be in their original packaging and in the same condition they were sold to you. Improper packaging and handling is a big problem and care should be taken in return packaging to avoid any damage.
Special orders/Custom Parts:
Any deposit or prepayment on any custom parts is not returnable or refundable under any circumstance once the parts have been ordered. Special ordered parts are not returnable unless the product manufacturer will accept the product back. Substantial restocking fees may apply in these situations. They are reviewed on a case by case basis.
Refused Packages:
If a package is refused and sent back to Rex Marine, the customer is responsible for the freight charges and a $20.00 processing fee. Refused packages should be avoided at all times. If there is a problem which makes a refusal necessary it should be reported and discussed with a Rex representative in advance of the refusal.
Damaged Boxes:
Any damages to your box and/or it's contents from shipping must be reported directly to the freight carrier. Rex Marine is not responsible for shipping damages.
Warranty Returns:
Rex Marine does not warranty products manufactured by other companies. Rex Marine only provides warranties on products that it manufactures. Any Rex manufactured part must be sent back to Rex Marine for evaluation to determine it's warranty eligibility. All products manufactured by others require the approval from their manufacturer to approve any credit, part replacement, or refund.
Freight Charges on Returns:
Freight Charges are the responsibility of the customer returning the part. Product returned on a freight collect basis will be refused by Rex Marine and sent back to the sender. If special circumstances apply where Rex Marine is responsible for return freight this must be approved in advance of the return by a Rex Marine representative. Normally in these cases the Rex Marine representative will issue a UPS call tag for the product.
